’08 Acura TSX, squealing/squeaking when backing up?

without comments

I had my rear rotors and break pads replaced a couple of months ago, and ever since then I hear this extremely annoying squealing/squeaking sound coming from the rear of the car when I back up. Sometimes I’ll also hear it when I’m turning while going forward. I took it back to NTB (who did the original work) to get it fixed a couple weeks ago. They said a back plate was bent and one of the rotors they put on had a high spot. They "fixed" that and it seems to be a little better when turning, but I still hear that incredibly annoying sound when backing up. They said there isn’t a way to get rid of it, which I think is BS, since it never did it to begin with.

Any ideas as to what this may be?

did you have the struts checked out and also maybe there is some dirt or other substance stuck on the brake pads or calipers. How many miles do you have on your tsx. I own a 06 6MT tsx, bought new 11/06. It still has the original brakes after 120,000+miles. I do not race up to red lights and jam on my brakes.

check your tires they maby have a loose nail in it or get it checked

Youre kinda hosed brother. They did a halfass job. Next time go to the acura dealer or DO IT YOURSELF. Im shocked you needed them done. I had 147,000 miles on my 2002 RSX before I had to touch the rear brakes. Yes, they were original. Do you ride the brakes a lot or somehting? Acura brake pads are only like 45.00 for OEM at discount online retailers.***EDIT**** OK dude-does it just happen when you FIRST drive the car..like backing out of your garage or something and then go away? If so this is very common…I thinkt he car is just scraping off some accumulated rusting from sitting in the air. Nothing can be done to fix this. I never experience it but my mother in law who also parks in a garage has the same damn nosie in her 2008 accord coupe.
